Femke Brenninkmeijer joined the Port of Amsterdam in 2008.
In 2015 Femke became Head Energy and since 2017 Head Energy, Cargo & Offshore. In this current role Femke is responsible for the maritime cluster within the port of Amsterdam including the coal transhipment.
The port of Amsterdam is one of the largest energy ports of Europe and chooses for sustainable growth and sustainable leadership. In this respect, Port of Amsterdam supports the work of Bettercoal actively. In 2016 Femke participated a joined mission of The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (in cooperation with Bettercoal and Action Aid) to the coal mines and the communities in South Africa to obtain a better understanding of the whole coal supply chain.
Femke Brenninkmeijer holds a masters in International Law.
